Celebrating 117 years of Tonbridge Grammar School

24 January marks 117 years since the opening of Tonbridge Grammar School.

The first school, that had just 19 students on roll, was located in Avebury Avenue in Tonbridge.  The school motto, ‘Courage and Honour’, that still underpins all we do in school was introduced by the then Head Teacher Miss Taylor.

Alumni and students came together to share stories, and reminiscences of school life on Saturday 22 January.
