Pupil Premium and Sixth Form Promise

At Tonbridge Grammar School (TGS) every student is supported to be the very best they can be and we strongly believe that no student should be excluded from any aspect of the education and activities that we offer. In support of this, our admissions policy was changed to secure 10 places for students in receipt of the Pupil Premium Grant.

We also offer a FREE programme of support available to students who are:

  • In Years 4 and 5 (girls and boys) and considering registering for the Kent PESE 11- test.
  • In Years 7-11 at Tonbridge Grammar School.
  • In our Sixth Form and whilst preparing for the next stages of their education.

With thanks to our partners

Tonbridge Grammar School is proud to encourage students from all backgrounds and of the support it provides via the Pupil Premium Promise and Sixth Form Promise.

At TGS every student is supported to be the very best they can be and we strongly believe that no student should be excluded from any aspect of the education and activities that we offer. In support of this, our admissions policy was changed to secure 10 places for students eligible for the Pupil Premium Grant.

We appreciate that not everyone has the same access to additional support.  To help children develop their skills, confidence and subject knowledge the School works in partnership with organisations that share our commitment to promote educational aspiration and support for social mobility - making a positive difference to the life chances of students at and beyond the School.  Click on the logos for more information:
