16 out of 16 students achieve distinction in LAMDA exams

Congratulations to the sixteen students who recently took LAMDA exams in three categories : Acting, Speaking in Public and Devising at grades 2 - 5.  All sixteen students achieved a distinction in their exam.

More information about the exams can be found below:

Speaking in Public; Students prepare 1, 2 or 3 speeches on a range of topics, which they perform, with limited notes, for an examiner. They then have a theory conversation with the examiner.

Acting; Students learn 2 or 3 monologues or duologues, which they perform to an examiner. They then have a brief conversation regarding characterisation, physicality and staging. At medal grades students also need to demonstrate knowledge of the most important theatre practitioners and how their work influences their performances.

Devising; Students are given a title and must create a piece of theatre using this title as their stimulus. Students perform the piece for the examiner and discuss how the work was created.
