Class of 2023 Graduation: Celebrating success and wishing our students well for their future adventures

It was an absolute joy to celebrate with Class of 2023 at their graduation last Friday morning.

A formal event in the Mitchener Hall was followed by much laughter outside in the sunshine shared with students and teachers across the school, all there to wish our leaving students well for their future adventures.

It is an "au revoir" until January when we welcome them to their first event as official alumni of TGS!

Miss Duncan, Director of Sixth Form, spoke to graduating students in the Mitchener Hall. Here we share some of her words:

We are exceptionally proud of the academic heights you have reached.  You have demonstrated endeavour, hard work, commitment, determination, challenge, and excellence. One measure of academic achievement is a numerical value given to show the skill, knowledge and understanding that you have developed in your studies. But above all of that, I would like to acknowledge the individual differences and individual circumstances, the journey, that each of you have travelled to reach graduation from our Sixth Form today. These different factors have moulded each of your own personal experiences, influenced the road you have travelled, and place a personal value on the worth of your achievements that goes far beyond marks and grades. All that is left for me to say is this: Class of 2023, you have graduated with flying colours, and I wish you every future success.
