Wellbeing

Wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at TGS.  Our dedicated student support team, based in our 'Wellbeing Hub', includes student advisors for each year group, a Sixth Form Support Co-ordinator, specialist SEND teacher, counselling services, School Nurse, Mental Health Co-ordinators and a Safeguarding Officer.

They also work in a proactive way to help equip students with strategies for wellbeing, such as mindfulness and how to approach exams in an emotionally healthy way. Whole school projects and assemblies cover a variety of themes such as ‘healthy body, healthy mind’ and staying safe.

Students are encouraged to be involved in wellbeing-related activities.  For example, a current student run project, Marvellous Meadows, is designed to increase our connection with nature and have a positive impact on our wellbeing.
