Dr Marshall

Subject Leader Psychology

I choose to teach in an IB school because the philosophy is really aligned with what I think education should be all about. The IB programmes in the middle years and the Sixth Form are academically rigorous and encourage students to think critically. I value being part of a learning community which is culturally aware with an international outlook.

What do you see as the main benefits of the IB Diploma?
I see the main benefits of the IB program as providing students with such a well-rounded education. I think the broad nature of the curriculum equips students very well for the challenges of university and enables them to have a positive impact on the world beyond.

What do you think is special about TGS?
TGS is special as it is a diverse community where everyone can feel a sense of purpose and belonging.

What is the most rewarding part of your role?
Discussing fascinating topics in the classroom and helping students progress in their knowledge and understanding through the IB programme. It is great to see students who are passionate about their learning and interested in making a difference in the world. It gives me hope for the future.
