Today KCC made their second-round offers of secondary school places for September 2024 and as a result the cut-off scores for TGS have changed to:

Area applicants                373

Trustee applicants          414  (higher due to late applicants)

The tie break distance applied to the Area Applicants was 6.286 miles

It was not necessary to apply a distance tie break to the Trustee Applicants.

The cut off score for the Area offers was 375, with a tie break applied of 6.9 miles. 

The cut off score for the 35th place offered for our 35 Trustee places was a score of 396, with a tie break distance applied of 30.6 miles.

If you have been offered a place at TGS please note the information below:

• Acceptance/refusal emails should be sent to admissions@tgs.kent.sch.uk marked for the attention of Mrs Court by 15 March. If you live outside Kent please contact Mrs Court direct by email (as well as following the instructions given by your Local Authority).
• Declined Offers must be made in writing to admissions@tgs.kent.sch.uk and cannot be accepted over the phone.
• If you have been offered a place here, TGS will send its own welcome letters to families by email on 5 March.
• TGS induction information will be made available in due course. Our Induction Day (and Evening) for 2024 entry will be Thursday 4 July, in common with many West Kent schools.
• A Welcome event will also be held on Thursday 20 June – invites to follow.
• First day of term in September for Year 7 & 12 is Monday 4 September 2024.

If you have not been offered a place at TGS you may wish to consider the following information:

• Waiting list - To add an eligible child’s name to the waiting list you can visit https://www.kent.gov.uk/waitinglist to complete it online (scroll down to the 'Waiting lists' section on this page). The online waiting list will close on Friday 15 March.
• Information on appeals is available on the TGS website here.

Any declined places will be filled via KCC’s Reallocation on 25 April.
