Year 10 Physics students collaborate with other schools in STEM challenge

A group of Year 10 Physics students collaborated with students from other local schools to explore the science behind a slinky drop as part of a STEM club challenge.

They investigated the centre of gravity of the slinky, its acceleration and why the bottom does not begin to move even after the slinky is dropped.

The project was great, we learnt how maths can be used in science and we improved our experimental methods by trial and error.
