Students debate on the motion 'who is the most iconic figure in Black History?'

As part of Tonbridge Grammar School's celebration of Black History Month the TGS Debating Society hosted a debate on the motion “who is the most iconic figure in Black History?"

Students proposed a variety of figures including Gil Scott Heron, Jo Ann Robinson, Malorie Blackman, Harriet Tubman and Alicia Keys.

Congratulations to Sienna who, following questions and a public vote, was selected as winner following her speech about Dr Mae Jemison.
