Launch of Debating Society 2026-7

Debating Society's first session of the year was an energetic debate that explored the motion "A pill has been developed, which when taken from the age of 18, extends adult life span indefinitely.  Taking the pill once annually will indefinitely delay all ageing.  There are no side-effects".

Debate was lively and compelling and encompassed a wide range of well-considered and presented arguments and counter arguments covering the potential impact on healthcare, the economy, working life, how it would be regulated and if it could prevent child labour.
