Year 8 take on a wide range of outdoor challenges, supporting the further development of the wider skills that underpin their learning

The Year 8 visit to Arena Pursuits formed an important part of the Y8 curriculum and activities contributed to the development of wider skills that underpin learning across the curriculum.

Many of the challenges required teamwork, trust, and leadership and encouraged students to step outside their comfort zones in a supportive environment; helping them to build confidence, perseverance, and self-belief - skills that are essential for both academic success and life beyond the school.

Students had so much fun raft building, shooting and working together to ensure tasks were competitive but enjoyable at the same time, showing maturity and commendable attitudes.

It has been such a pleasure to watch this year group grow.
