150 students take part in Bronze Duke of Edinburgh's Award training weekend

On the Saturday the Year 10 students were trained in key expedition skills including navigation and map reading, cooking using Trangias, setting up tents, and basic first aid; equipping them with the knowledge needed for independent travel.

On the Sunday, participants put these skills into practice by navigating their way in groups of 4-7 to Fordcombe, working effectively together.

All students completed the training successfully, demonstrating excellent teamwork, resilience, and enthusiasm throughout what proved to be a fun and valuable weekend in fairly good British weather.
