On day one, they faced the host team Oranje Rood and Belgium’s Royal Orée, with both matches ending in draws. A superb 5–0 victory then secured their place in the quarter-finals, where they went on to win 1–0.

In the semi-final, after a hard-fought and closely contested match, they were narrowly defeated 2–1, finishing an impressive fourth overall in the competition.
