Zoé and the Young Lionesses make it three wins from three to seal EURO Finals spot

The Young Lionesses prepared in Spain ahead of Round 2 of the UEFA Women’s U17 EURO 2026 qualifiers, originally set for fixtures against Türkiye, Croatia and Italy.

Their warm‑weather camp opened England’s 2026 schedule, with only two of three planned games played due to high winds. Facing Norway, Poland and the USA, England finished second in a six team tournament with one win and one draw.  The final vs the USA was cancelled.

Travelling to Croatia this month for Round 2 of the UEFA Women’s U17 EURO 2026 qualifiers, England topped their League A group to become one of eight teams reaching the Finals in May, which also double as qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA Women’s U17 World Cup. Wins over Türkiye and Croatia meant they needed only a draw with Italy, but England completed the week with three victories.

The England WU17 squad now head to the UEFA Women’s U17 EURO Finals, where they will face hosts Northern Ireland, plus Germany and Norway. The draw, made in Belfast last Wednesday, placed England in Group A. The top two teams progress to the semi‑finals and move closer to World Cup qualification.

England will open against Northern Ireland, then face Germany, and Norway.
