U13 Football Team progress to finals of Kent Cup

On Saturday 28 February the U13 Football Team beat Townley 3-0 to progress to the finals of the Kent Cup.

The trophy is named after England centre forward Alessia Russo and players are very much looking forward to meeting her if she is able to be there for the final. It has been a great season with a very solid defence conceding very few goals and a brilliant attack scoring when we most needed it. The team also has a good chance of qualifying for the district final which could well be their hardest game of the season.

There has been other success in football this year, with the U16 side narrowly losing 4-3 in the Kent Cup Quarter Final, having come back from 3-0 down at half-time.

The U14’s narrowly lost a penalty shoot out in their quarter-final after the sides were all square after extra time.

We are looking forward to more opportunities to play next year and invite any students that are interested to come to football club on a Tuesday lunchtime.
