Dear Parents / Carers,
Year 8 MYP Information Evening
We would like to invite you to attend an information evening for Year 8 parents and carers on Tuesday 3rd October. The evening will run from 6pm until 8pm and will look at the coming year for Year 8 students. This event is for parents and carers only. There will be four presentations that will run on a carousel throughout the evening. The presentations will be held in small groups in the Hands Building.
The presentations will be:
“The Year 8 Middle Years Programme”
Caroline Ghali (Assistant Head Teacher)
We will share an overview of the Year 8 curriculum, and the Middle Years Programme, discuss assessment and reporting at Tonbridge Grammar School.
“Supporting your child’s wellbeing”
Chris Fitt (Assistant Head Teacher) and Mary Hull (Manager of Student Support and SENCO)
We will outline some of the ways that you can support your child to lead an emotionally healthy life. This will be a workshop style session exploring a range of strategies.
“Enrichment opportunities in Year 8”
Holly Shaw (Assistant Curriculum Director 7&8)
We will provide an overview of the range of enrichment opportunities on offer for your child throughout the year, including details and benefits of the outdoor learning experience at Bewl Water in July.
“Development at TGS”
