TGS is a high achieving selective grammar school with academy status, educating girls between the ages of 11 and 16 and girls and boys in the Sixth Form. We are an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School.
Through blending the best of a traditional curriculum with the principles and ethos of the IB Organisation, TGS students have opportunities to learn in breadth and depth in order to develop as well-balanced individuals. They become active learners and are encouraged to be passionate about making a difference in the world.
The school prepares students for GCSEs at the end of Year 11 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma in the Sixth Form. In addition to broad and enriching academic curricular timetable, our students take part in an extensive range of extracurricular activities.
TGS is immensely proud to have been named as The Sunday Times State Secondary School of the Year 2014 and the Sunday Times International Baccalaureate School of the Year 2014.
