Year 12 Welcome Event
I am pleased to confirm details of our evening event for parents and students in Year 12 on Thursday 24th September.
This will be an opportunity to meet the Personal Tutor who works closely with your child to monitor and review their progress on a regular basis, and to meet the key people with a particular role in supporting all academic and wider aspects of our sixth form experience.
Mrs Bullen, Deputy Head, will welcome our Year 12 families to the sixth form and Mr Barker, Director of Sixth Form, will be speaking about how we monitor progress during the IB diploma programme, the ways in which we support wellbeing and how we prepare our students for university.
This evening marks the beginning of a new home school partnership in helping our young people gain success and achievement during their 2 year diploma course. It also provides an opportunity for families to get to know each other better.
We very much hope that you will accept this invitation to meet in person and extend a very warm welcome to all our Year 12 families, both existing and those of you new to TGS.
For those of you with a daughter or son in tutor groups: 6AHB, 6ARA, 6CCS, 6CJR, 6CVS and 6FKM the evening will begin at 6.00pm. For those in tutor groups: 6FSB, 6MJW, 6MLW, 6TJB and 6TPM the evening will begin at 6.30pm.
Limited, pre-booked parking spaces are available now at school.
