Milano National Competition (Gymnastics) in Stoke 10/3/17

The Milano National Gymnastic Finals, held in Stoke on the 10 March 2017, saw Tonbridge Grammar representing the South East in both the vault and floor competition sections.

All of the girls worked exceptionally hard in the build up to this competition with an amazing level of support from Tania Cattoor, Tonbridge Grammar School’s Elite Gymnastics coach, to increase their performance skills and confidence prior to the event.

The day started very early with a 6am meet, to give us plenty of time to drive up to the venue on the day of the competition. On arrival the girls prepared themselves mentally and physically for their vault and floor routines. All were focused and ready to perform, with outstanding levels of effort from each individual during every aspect of the competition.

"National finals is a great experience every year, to be competing with schools all over Great Britain and representing not just the school, but also the region, allows us to form relationships with other schools throughout the South East. To medal at a National Finals is truly representative of the hard work that we all put in!" U19 Elite Gymnast

The South East Gymnasts at the U16 level were awarded third place at U16 and second at U19 for this National competition. This is an incredible achievement and the Physical Education Department are very proud of all gymnasts involved.

Well done!
