Year 9 student makes final stages of ‘The Voice Kids’
Tonbridge Grammar School is delighted to hear that Amelia in Year 9 is through to the final camera audition rounds for “The Voice Kids”. She is due to attend the ITV studios and if successful, she will feature on a new programme featuring the nation’s best young vocalists and offers a once in a lifetime opportunity for talented children aged 7 to 14, as three of the country’s top recording artists help develop their talent from beginning to end.
Amelia already writes and performs her own songs, that have been performed in School Concerts and class performances in a variety of styles. She is a keen member of the School’s Cantores choir which sang at Westminster Cathedral last Christmas.
Her music teacher Adrian Pitts said “We are delighted that hopefully the Great British public may be able to hear some of the stunning vocal talent we have been enjoying since Amelia came to the School three years ago. We wish her every success.”
