Youngsters from Tonbridge Grammar School's Motet Choir performed with top vocal ensemble Voces8 at the weekend to great acclaim.
After an exciting afternoon workshop with the top choir, the young choir were ready for their performance in the evening.
In the opening concert of the TMC 2016-17 season, Voces8 performed a wide range of music from Renaissance to 20th Century with great skill and charisma.
The award-winning TGS girls' choir were invited to perform by Tonbridge Music Club with the 8-piece professional ensemble at Tonbridge Parish Church. They sang in a special arrangement of London Gramnar's Strong as well as singing a song on their own, an arrangement of "Goin'-up-a-yonder" for a well deserved ovation.

TMC Artistic director Dilys Benson said "It was a real pleasure to listen to them - the School must be really proud of the Motet Choir. "
A packed church audience were treated to light jazz items in the second half. Parents and students were impressed with the panache of Voces8 "They are so cool" stated one entranced Year 13 singer.
