A team of four students from Tonbridge Grammar School are celebrating winning the Regional Heat of the UKMT Maths Team Challenge on Tuesday 25th February, hosted by their school.

Over 30 teams of Year 8 and Year 9 students from across Kent, and two teams from the Netherlands, attended the annual competition to compete in a series of rounds of challenging Maths questions.

In the end, Rainham Mark Grammar School finished the competition in third place with Sevenoaks School in second. The winning team from Tonbridge Grammar School, Sophie McInerny, Elizabeth Hopkins, Rose Blyth and Emily James will go on to attend the National Finals in London in June.
