The school trampoline team competed at the Benenden Competition on Sunday 9th March. All of the girls performed extremely well on the trampoline as well as being very supportive of others when they were not bouncing.
The team achieved the highest scoring school of the day so were awarded the Benenden Shield which is a fantastic achievement for the girls.
Individual success included – Jade Pearson who performed a routine with a maximum tariff and was awarded the 1st place trophy for her age group and level. Hannah Firth has shown considerable improvement this year achieving 2nd place, and Jennifer and Becky were both awarded 3rd place trophies for their routines.
Well done to all of the team, and many thanks to Mrs Jo Pearson who voluntarily coaches the trampolining at TGS twice a week as well as attending competitions!
TGS will also be competing at the Kent School Trampoline Finals held at Mote Park on Thursday 20th March – Good luck!
