After 12 years of competing in school gymnastic competitions Tonbridge Grammar have finally won National Finals!
The Under 16 Squad – Emily Cynk, Maddy Wells, Izzy Kerslake & Jasmine Wynter travelled to Stoke at the weekend to compete in the Milano Team National Finals. They were lying in second position after the individual floor and vault rotation, and after a fantastic team trio routine came home with the gold medal! The team fought off extremely strong opposition from 24 schools participating in order to achieve this amazing result. All four gymnasts achieved exceptional scores, with Jasmine Wynter gaining the highest vault score of the day!
Tonbridge Grammar and Tormead School were both representing the South East Region, and with their scores combined they came away with the gold medal for the highest scoring region at the competition. This is the first time that the South East Region has achieved this amazing accolade!
