The Motet Choir of Tonbridge Grammar School is appearing on Sunday 21st April on BBC Songs of Praise School Choir of the Year, from Liverpool recorded in March. The choir won through to the national finals last week to compete for the coveted title of School Choir of the Year against two other senior choirs from across the UK from Belfast and Glasgow. The competition is judged by Suzi Digby, TV personality David Grant and for the first time by musician, model and presenter Myleene Klass, who were impressed with the school’s semi-final singing. The programme is compered by Daybreak TV host Aled Jones.
The Choir will be singing an inspirational song "Hosanna" by Kirk Franklin specially arranged by the Choir’s director Adrian Pitts.
