You study the short course Religious Studies - Religion and Life GCSE.
You examine the ethical and philosophical issues addressed by religion. There is lots of time for discussion and personal evaluation of the philosophical and important questions of life and social interaction.
The course covers a variety of topics relevant to modern society such as abortion, euthanasia, marriage and relationships, as well as philosophical questions exploring the existence of God.
Many of the topics on the course are illustrated by the use of modern films. The examination invites the comparison of Christian attitudes with those of another religion. You are able to choose any other religion to make that contrast although we usually use the Islamic view.
