Post-TGS Choices Support
You will have extensive guidance and support for whatever pathway you choose after you leave us – university, gap year or employment. Over 90 per cent of students from TGS go straight into Higher Education. We are justly proud of the quality of our applications, and universities comment on the strength of TGS students’ personal statements and the accuracy of our predicted grades.
You will receive advice on how to apply to university in a number of ways: from your Learning Mentor, within inter-disciplinary week, as part of Careers day, in a parents’ UCAS evening and directly from university admissions tutors in talks and assemblies. If you do not want to apply to university, we are also here to support you. The careers section of the Logic and the OLiE are full of useful resources, and we purchase independent impartial careers advice and guidance from CXK Ltd who offer one to one interviews and group sessions on a range of topics including Alternatives to University and Study Abroad. We also help with work experience placements, CV writing and job references.
