Inter-Disciplinary Week

Inter-Disciplinary Week is where you take what you have learnt in different subjects and apply it to problem-solve and explain bigger issues. It is an opportunity to become involved in teamwork and to undertake a broad range of tasks that are wider- ranging than any particular subject.

Twice a year, all students in the lower school are taken off timetable to participate in project-based activities. This can take many different forms, it could be a theme for example, such as Africa. You would be working with the Art Department making animal masks and then you would join the Maths department to find out about African Pyramids. Other topics include the Olympics, which involves finding out about Greek sports as well as exploring the best angle to throw a javelin. Alternatively, you could be using dance, drama and myths to explore different cultures. You might even form your own political party and stand for election.
