Join us in Year 7

26 April - second round offers for entry in September 2022

Following declines received in response to offers made in the first round, KCC has now allocated second round offers.

The cut off score for the 35th place offered for our 35 Trustee (formerly Governor) places was a score of 399 (first round: 398), with no tie break distance needed. The rise in the cut off reflects a number of high scoring late applicants.

The cut off score for the Area offers was 379 (first round: 384), with no tie break distance needed.

If you have been offered a place at TGS in the second round please note the information below:

  • Acceptance/refusal emails should be sent to admissions@tgs.kent.sch.uk marked for the attention of Mrs Court by 6 May. If you live outside Kent please contact Mrs Court direct by email (as well as following the instructions given by your Local Authority).
  • Declined Offers must be made in writing to admissions@tgs.kent.sch.uk and cannot be accepted over the phone.
  • TGS will send its own welcome letters and registration forms (by post) to families as soon as possible.
  • TGS induction information will be made available in due course. Our Induction Day (and Evening) for 2022 entry will be Thursday 7 July, in common with many West Kent schools.
  • Welcome events will also be held week commencing 27 June, depending on the House allocated – invites to follow.
  • First day of term in September for Year 7 & 12 is Monday 5 September.

If you have not been offered a place at TGS you may wish to consider the following information:
