Friday 28 November 2014 saw the culmination of the Tunbridge Wells MUNGA event at the Town Hall, attended by the Mayor of Tunbridge Wells and delegates from schools from all around Kent.  Students from Year 12 at TGS represented the UK, Haiti and Libya and also boasted two busy members of the Secretariat and two frantic members of the Press!

The debate was lively, at times confrontational, at times cooperative, and reflected the dynamics and tone of the real United Nations General Assembly in its intellectual debate and need for international compromise.  See our photos for a visual taste of the event and hopefully you will be inspired to take part next year when we take another set of future political leaders and international peace-keepers to MUNGA Tunbridge Wells 2015…

Thank you to all those who took part this year, we are delighted with how you represented TGS!

On Wednesday 8th October thirteen Year 12 students went to Tonbridge School for the MUNGA Briefing Day in preparation for the MUNGA Kent-wide event, taking place at Tunbridge Wells Town Hall on Friday 28 November.  TGS students were debating and proposing solutions to real political issues along with students from other prestigious schools in West Kent.  The countries TGS is representing are the UK, Haiti and Libya.  Here's what our students thought.....

"3 words to sum up MUNGA: fast paced, heated and great fun."

We are already training the next generation of the EU!
