We believe that understanding your responsibilities as a global citizen starts at home. We encourage you to experience the benefits that come from giving service to those around you.
The Community and Service afternoon creates time every Wednesday for you to undertake voluntary service in the wider community, or to develop mentoring skills by helping a younger student within school or at one of our partner primary schools. This is also an opportunity for you to take part in Duke of Edinburgh expedition planning. There is also a programme of supervised study support at this time, to help girls overcome areas of academic difficulty as they arise.
The focus for the Community and Service afternoon is to provide an early introduction to responsibility and leadership. This helps to prepare you for the Creativity Action and Service requirement of the IB diploma when in the sixth form.
