TGS students running a 5K on the 6th December raising money for Beat

There are a lot of TGS students running a 5K on the 6th of December and raising money for Beat which is an eating disorder charity. We are all trying to raise a lot of money for this amazing cause to try prevent the stigma against mental illnesses and especially eating disorders.

Around 1 in 100 people will suffer from an eating disorder however the number is sadly rising and now it is suggested to be that 1 in 80 people suffer. We are raising money to allow beat the opportunity to provide early intervention amongst eating disorder patients and provide the sufferer and their family support when a person suffers from an eating disorder.

Eating disorders sadly have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness which is why we thought it would be a absolute amazing opportunity to try reduce that number and run 5k (or some of us 10k) in santa suits on December the 6th 2015.

We would really appreciate this if you sponsored our team of students running from Tonbridge Grammar School, you can do this by pledging money on our joint just giving page or by speaking to me (Rosie Nevison).
