As part of her BSc in International Business at the University of Leeds, Annabelle is currently undertaking an Industrial Placement at EY (prev Ernst and Young).

She talks about how TGS gave her the strength to be ‘tenacious and resilient as a female in business, financial services and STEM’. She also describes how she has founded a women in technology initiative at EY that encourages discussion and mentoring between staff.

Harriette

Harriette

Following her studies at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Harriette is now a Senior House Officer in Gastroenterology. She explains how the most rewarding part of her job is passing a baby to its parents after delivering.

Current Sixth Formers and Medsoc members recently enjoyed a visit from Hariette, who spoke with them about her career and her route into medicine.

Lydia, who is currently enjoying an internship in Berlin as part of her languages degree at the University of Cambridge, tells of how studying six subjects meant she already had experience of languages, literature and history when she started university, which are all part of her degree course now.

She explains about how the IB is well respected by universities and how people are always impressed when she says she has an IB Diploma.

Lucy

Lucy, who is currently studying Geography at Durham University, explains how she is going to continue her studies by undertaking a 'MA in Risk' which looks at political, environmental and social security issues both in the UK and globally such as migration and terrorism. 

Her interest in migration led her to volunteer at 'Care4Calais', a charity which operates in Calais, Northern France during the summer of 2018.
