Bohni’s Science writing is published in Imperial College magazine 'I, Science'

Congratulations to Bohni (Year 10) whose article Looking for joy? Find some fear won the I, Write competition run by I, Science, a science magazine published by Imperial College.

In the first round of the competition, participants pitched their story ideas to the judges.  The top three were mentored by the I, Science team whilst writing their articles.  After judging, Bohni’s article was judged the winning entry and published in the magazine.

We were impressed with Bohni’s ability to integrate strong scientific details with personal, warm anecdotes from her family.  The science she delves into is broad-based, ranging from biology to sociology to psychology – giving a holistic macroscopic view of her chosen topic.  We think her article about how watching horror movies gives some of us joy is a pleasure for anyone to read.

Competition Judges

Congratulations to Bohni on getting an article published at this stage.  It is an incredible piece that will make her CV stand out.  The world out there is so ready for her!

What a great article with some really good use of psychological theories.
