Hope selected to represent GB in Cyclocross

Congratulations to Hope in Year 13 who has been selected to represent GB in Cyclocross in Belgium in December.

Currently ranked second in the UK, Hope explains more:

“Cyclocross is a winter sport where you go round a course made up mostly of grass or mud, which can include steep banks, sand and hurdles. It often involves getting off and running with your bike to get round the course as quickly as possible. Cyclocross is my favourite cycling discipline as you have to combine both skills and strength to be good at it. It’s really fun, as long as you don’t mind getting muddy, as it is raced in any conditions including on snow. I am really pleased to currently be in the national series lead, and was so excited when I got the email to invite me to race in Belgium for GB. I will be racing the elite women’s race at the Boom Superprestige and the junior women’s race at the Antwerpen World Cup”.

We look forward to following Hope’s cyclocross journey.
