International Baccalaureate
We have been successfully offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme since 2004. The IB Diploma is a prestigious pre-university qualification and is recognised by universities and governments throughout the world. Tonbridge Grammar School has been recognised as the top state school for IB for the 3rd consecutive year.
The Diploma combines academic rigour with breadth, ensuring that each student finishes the Sixth Form literate, numerate, with a foreign language, a knowledge of scientific method, and knowledge and understanding in a social science or humanities subject.
The IB offers students a broad curriculum with an international perspective. The course is an excellent preparation for university life and employment especially given the increasingly interconnected global economy.
