Online Learning & Information Environment (OLiE)
The OLiE is a virtual learning environment (VLE) designed to support teaching and learning at school and at home. It provides resources and facilities such as timetables, text, images and video to supplement and enhance classroom teaching and learning.
The Parent Portal
The latest addition to the OLiE is the Parent Portal which provides you as parents and carers with access to a wide range of information about your daughter/son.
Reports
You can view your child’s full and progress reports at any time through your child’s planner section within the Portal.
School Day
You can view your child’s daily timetable of lessons, attendance record and a list of the subjects that are currently studied. As the system develops we aim to provide further information about your child’s school experience for example information about curriculum and homework assignments.
Letters
In addition to the personalised information about your child, all letters are uploaded onto the Portal and there is the facility for replying electronically for certain events. You still have the option of replying by printing out the reply slip and returning it to the School Office.
Weekly Parent Bulletin
We send a weekly parent bulletin to you that contains a summary of information and documents that have been uploaded to the Portal. To subscribe to the weekly email please contact portal@tgs.kent.sch.uk
Accessing the Portal
Parents and carers need to log into the Portal for reasons of security and data protection. If you have lost or forgotten your user information or passwords, it is possible to have them reset and resent by contacting the School Office or by emailing portal@tgs.kent.sch.uk As you will appreciate we cannot give out user information or passwords over the telephone.
